Wingo Improves Payment Efficiency with Yuno as Strategic Partner

Bogotá – June 10, 2025 – Wingo, one of the leading low-cost airlines in Latin America, has enhanced its digital payment operations and improved the customer experience across the region through its adoption of services from Yuno, the global payment infrastructure platform.

Yuno’s Smart Routing technology helps Wingo maximize its transaction approval rates by enabling automatic retries of failed payments through multiple providers. In this initial implementation phase, Wingo has achieved a 14% increase in its approval rate—a significant improvement that directly impacts its sales and traveler experience.

Jorge Jiménez, VP of Commercial and Planning at Wingo said:

"One of our main goals is to ensure our passengers have the smoothest travel experience possible, and that includes the payment process. That’s why Yuno’s flexible technology has successfully supported our objectives around the digital experience we offer our travelers,”

Thanks to Yuno’s advanced payment orchestration platform, Wingo now has access to over 1,000 payment methods, fraud prevention tools, and integrated 3D Secure authentication. This allows them to offer faster and more secure payment processes, meeting the expectations of their travelers.

Juan Pablo Ortega, Co-Founder and CEO of Yuno, said:

“Wingo is one of the most dynamic and visionary airlines in Latin America. We’re proud to support them in taking their payment strategy to the next level with our Smart Routing solutions, flexible integrations, and fraud protection—all designed to drive growth and deliver better experiences to travelers. This reflects how Yuno empowers leading regional brands to thrive in an increasingly competitive digital economy.”

This collaboration reinforces both companies’ commitment to innovation and efficiency in digital commerce. Yuno’s orchestration layer gives Wingo full control over its payment ecosystem, enabling greater experimentation, improved data visibility, and a platform that evolves alongside their business.
